Rainu Kaushal, M.D.
Rainu Kaushal is an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Associate Physician at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Dr. Kaushal is currently the Project Leader for the Center of Excellence study: Ambulatory Medication Errors and Adverse Drug Events (ADEs) in Pediatrics. Dr. Kaushal received her BA in Chemistry from the University of Vermont, her MD from Harvard Medical School and her MPH in Clinical Effectiveness from the Harvard School of Public Health. After her residency training in Medicine and Pediatrics at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and The Children's Hospital Medical Center in Boston, she completed a research fellowship in General Internal Medicine/Pediatrics at The Medical Center in Boston. She joined Brigham and Women's Hospital in 2000. Dr. Kaushal served as Principal Investigator for the Pediatric Medication Errors and Adverse Drug Events through the Harvard Risk Management Foundation. She also served as Principal Investigator for the National Patient Safety Foundation project, "Serious Pediatric Medication Errors: Evaluation of Prevention Strategies."
